This year, we will not put up Christmas trees for our Giving Tree with tags listing items we can purchase for families in need. However, what we will do is continue to support those in need by making a financial donation to the Giving Tree program.
All funds collected will be used to purchase gift cards at Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Theresa. These cards will be given to those whose names we receive for assistance for the Giving Tree program.
At Most Precious Blood donations will be used to support Prison Ministry, Sunday Friends, Homebound, Bereavement, SSVP and families in need. You can assist us this year by placing your donation in an envelope, mark it Giving Tree with your name or envelope number on it.
All such donations are eligible to be included on your tax receipt. Please make cheque out to the name of your Parish. We would like all donations in by December 4th. Thank you always for your continued generosity.
Thanks to the awesome generosity of our parishioners from Our Lady of Guadalupe and San Juan Diego of Guadalupe, the Giving Tree program was able to provide a beautiful Christmas for 41 families which included 78 children.
Our program could not reach this level of success without everyone’s kindness. Special thanks to the following individuals for assisting in multiple capacities. Fr. Greg, Fr. Pedro, Fr. Innocent, Donna Marcotte, Anne Marie Brode, Pat & Elsi Hallahan, Mike & Claudette Lemire, Roland Vincent and Al & Anne Anderson.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Mary McEachern
Our heartfelt thanks to all parishioners who donated to the 2022 Giving Tree at Most Precious Blood site. Many families in need, several Family of Parishes ministries, adults and senior will enjoy the gifts from your generous hearts. Their joy and gratefulness brings to light the reminder to all of us that “It Is More Blessed to Give than to Receive”. (Acts 20:35)
